Elise's apartment was about five minutes away from Starbucks, something she was forever grateful for, since she wasn't truly awake until she'd had a cup of coffee... Or two. Of course right about now she was already up, but in Elise's mind, you could never have too much coffee.
But she was at Starbucks for a different reason at the moment. Her older sister Issy was meeting her here in just a few minutes. It was more of a warm-up-coffee since they were going to spend the rest of the day Christmas shopping for their friends and family. Of course Elise wouldn't be buying Issy's present today, but she already knew what she was getting her, and she was sure that Issy would love it. Her fingers tapped at the table idly as she waited for her sister. If she knew Issy, she'd be right on time. Elise looked down to her watch, counting down the seconds. Five. Four. Three. Two. One.

Crawling out of bed that morning had been difficult for Isobel. She didn't want to get up, and she especially didn't want to leave Demitri's arms. He was a human heater, which was especially good for Issy because she was always cold. But beside that, he treated her like she was the best thing to happen to him, even though they hadn't known each other that long. It was definitely time to tell Elise about him.
Tossing her car keys on the counter and her house key in her purse, Issy went downstairs and caught a cab to Starbucks. It was time for sisterly Christmas shopping, which was a tradition since Issy was sixteen and could drive her twelve year old sister to the mall. Traffic was sparse since the odd hour of the day, and the taxi pulled up in front of the coffee shop in no time. Issy paid the driver and went inside, finding Elise seated at a table. "Sorry I'm late... I got held up in bed this morning."

Elise's countdown ended and there was no sign of her sister. Huh... That was a little strange, but her sister was only human after all. She was allowed to be late, she just wasn't used to it. Elise didn't really think all too much about it, and went back to people watching out of the shop window. Since it was still the morning, there weren't too many people out, but more than enough to keep Elise occupied as she drank her coffee and waited for her sister.
She didn't have to wait much longer, as while she was people watching she noticed her sister get out of a cab. Elise smiled seeing her sister, memories of the past twelve years coming back to her. The two sisters went Christmas shopping every year and it was a tradition that Elise thoroughly enjoyed. Elise finished off the last of her coffee just as the door chimed, signaling that someone - Issy - had just walked in. "Sorry I'm late... I got held up in bed this morning." Her sister greeted as she reached Elise's table. "I bet you did,"

Issy narrowed her eyes at her younger sister. When did she learn to be so saucy? Issy stopped. Of course Elise was saucy. They shared DNA. It never really hit her how alike she and her sister were. Ignoring this revelation, Isobel sat down across from Elise, smiling when she asked who the lucky guy was.
"Is," she said plainly. "Who the lucky guy is." She smiled even more, remembering how good he felt around her. Like they were made for each other or something. "His name is Demitri. Are you going to grill me about him all day?" Not that she would have minded. She could talk about him all the time if she wasn't conscious about what she was saying.

Elise just smiled politely at her sister's narrowing eyes. They knew each other well enough to know that if this was the other way around, Issy would've done exactly the same. Issy and Elise had a similar sense of humour so it was hardly a surprise that that the two of them got on so well.
"Who the lucky guy is." Issy said plainly, smiling to herself at something that Elise didn't get. She let it slide. She was happy for her sister if she had someone. "Get you!"
She complimented, laughing a little. His name is Demitri. Are you going to grill me about him all day?" Elise's smile grew into a large grin. It was almost cheesy. "Of course. It's my job to make sure that this Demitri guy is good enough for my big sister. I have high standards that he has to live up to." [/blockquote][/blockquote]
