This was the night that Katherine had been looking forward too all year. Alright, so maybe not, but most people did look forward to their twenty-first birthday, and Katherine was going to do it in style. There was a lot more planning to a party than Katherine had realized. She thought that by renting out The Vangaurd would make things easier, but in the long run.... not so much. Instead of doing everything on her own (or with the help of her mother), Katherine had to work through the planner at the club, which only made the process longer. She was glad all that was over. And, in the future, she'd let her mother take the reins.
While getting ready, Katherine started to wonder if anyone would show up, anyone besides Poppy and Eli at least. Who would want to come to some random actress' birthday party? That was a stupid thought. Of course people would show up to an actresses party - this was LA we were in. Pulling herself out of her own thoughts, Katherine stepped out of the washroom, where she was doing her hair, and took some time out, and logged onto la-social.net.
Once her car arrived, Katherine was off. As was her anxiety, which had now grown into excitement. Within the next hour, she would not only be partying with her friends, but would be taking her first legal drink. Arriving, Katherine got out of the car and headed inside, while getting some photos snapped along the way.

Kat's birthday party had been a marked event on Poppy's calendar ever since she'd been told about it. Now that it was finally here, Poppy could hardly wait any longer. She had her iPod safely in it's dock blaring music out of the speakers, filling her room as she sung along to it slightly off key. Glancing at the clock hanging on her wall, she smiled to herself, knowing that she still had plenty of time before she had to be at the Vanguard. She did her hair and finished getting ready before calling to the rest of the Booth siblings, letting them know that she'd be leaving in five minutes with or without them. Somehow - and Poppy wasn't quite sure how - she'd been landed with the role of 'Taxi driver', meaning that she was the one driving tonight. The alcohol would have to wait for another day, unless she could talk one of her brothers or Allie into driving. There's an idea...
Five minutes later exactly, the Booth quintet were in her car and they were on their way. Her eldest brother - who'd claimed shotgun before they'd even left the house - was going through Poppy's iPod which was now connected to the car looking for a song. The other three were all bundled in the back of the car, which Poppy was silently laughing at. Since the girls were the youngest in the family, they normally got shoved in the back of the car. But with Poppy driving, poor Allie, Poppy's twin and one of their older brothers were all squashed in the back. Maybe being the designated driver wasn't so bad after all.
Before they knew it, Poppy had parked and they were there. Poppy scoured the room out, looking for the birthday girl. It didn't take her long and Poppy was by Kat's side in less than a minute after entering the club. "Katherine!"

Eli had one hell of a long day trying to shop for Katherine's birthday. It wasn't that he liked waiting for the last minute, it was just that nothing seemed right for her. He didn't want to settle on something. Today, he scoured the shops on Rodeo Drive, trying to find the perfect thing, and of course, had come up short. But fortunately, on his way home, he'd passed a shop which he'd never seen before. Turning back, he went inside and it had exactly what he was looking for. Katherine would love it. She was turning 21, which was exciting for her because she was legal to drink, but exciting for him because he could take her out to nice places that serve champagne with dinner and not be bugged.
Once he was dressed nicer, he set off to the Vanguard, where Katherine was sure to already be. Eli wasn't sure who would already be there, but that didn't really matter. He could take up as much of Katherine's time as he wanted. When he got there, he saw Poppy embracing his girlfriend. He smiled and walked over, his hands in his pockets, waiting for the girls to catch up.
